Ok - i was supposed to have a Coil release by today - Guess what? I don't. There are too many unfinished things with the current version - so, it will be done when it will be finished. Yes, I'm aware of the hypocrisy. Nearly everything associated with Half-Life 1 or 2 gets "delayed". So if you want an excuse: "Some German guy stole my source maps!" Sorry for being an arse.

: Development : 04.07.05 :

Progress is slow but steady. In the last few months, the project has taken on new aims, which hopefully explains the lack of updates or news.

The hardest part of making the mod more interactive and fun to play has just begun. In its current state, it's a shell, with only parts of it finished.

I've got a lot of surprises planned, and most importantly, some new eye-candy to look at. Along with the 5 new screenshots posted here, there are 3 Moddb Exclusive shots. Head over there and have a look.

: Development : 18.02.05 :

Ok, I got my betatesters: Anthony, Hugh, Trapt & RabidMonkey. Others have asked, but i haven't been able to talk to them so don't call me, i'll call you ;)

More beta testing people will be called upon as the need arises.

Mapping is still going at its usual pace, and the release date is still set for "Before summer"

Coil is now listed on the ModDb with a new and exclusive screenshot. Everyone likes screenshots? Right?

And in between all that - i've redesigned the site a bit (again).

: BETA TESTERS WANTED : 18.02.05 :

Its getting increasingly harder to multi task and turn out maps at a rate that will ensure Coil's release. That's why i've decided to start recruiting beta testers.
Or maybe i'm growing lazy and trying to feed off other people's ideas?

So, if you would like to beta test, have a look through the screenshots posted on the site, and speak your mind - say what you want. But make it short - but keep it succinct.
If that sounds too vague, then just write an expectation, a point of view - you don't need to spot an error or suggest an improvement.

If you have the will, know what you like, and can put that into writing and suggestions, then you're perfect for the job.

If you think you can take this on, then contact me via this electronic dispatch. Make sure you enter a valid email so i can get back to you. I'll send you a scary looking email with lots of big words, and if you seem interested after that, i'll start sending you stuff to look over.
